I have a Hannahs*hanger ribbon skirt we wore a few times.
It is valentine's themed with the heart ribbons. I paid $75 for this skirt.
I took a current picture to show where there is a very slight bit of fading on 2 pieces of ribbon. The skirt is an old navy size 4.
I also made the jumper top to match...Let me know if you want the top too!






Then I made this jumper set about a size 4/5.



It has jeans with an orange ruffle and a side accent of fox material and a jumper with vintage corduroy, with a cute fox print.


Here is Genesis wearing it 2 years ago. It is in excellent shape only worn a few times.

Did you ever want a horse when you were a kid?

I remember sitting at the window one Christmas waiting for the truck to pull up with my horse...


Genesis has been on a "I want a horse of my own" kick lately.
I have to confess, I feel for her.

She has a plan though...(determined girl)

She will get a job on a farm with horse when she is a teenager and she will get her own horse!!

I LOVE her "I can do that" attitude!!!
She has confidence and faith!!

I hope she accomplishes all she sets out to do, and learn from what fails.

My next best thing to buying her a horse is a field trip to the stables!

Daddy was home and we had a field trip to the Science Museum!

American Girl Club

We joined an American Girl club.
Even though Genesis doesn't have one yet...

There were 20 girls dressed in period clothing. They had fun dressing up and did a tea party!
The hostess had a lovely Victorian house.

The girl in the pink looks Just like KIT!

They did fun crafts too.
We are reading the book series for school.

Paul painted all of the furniture white...

I made a flannel backed table cloth and chair cushions.
The flannel keeps them from sliding.

And Genesis gets right to work setting up the tea party!

I am the one in brown, EEK! Bad hair day...

My Mom and her elderly client came to visit me and Genesis. (I LOVE Mr. Fred)
It rained almost the whole time they were here. We did manage to get out to visit the hometown of Andy Griffith here locally. Quaint little town and some great fabric shops. I did also find an unfinished cigar box purse that I have some ideas about how to embellish...

Paul and I played scrabble the other night and it was left out.
Genesis was curious about it. So for homeschool, we used the tiles for spelling words, then math and reading.
She used her counter to add up the points in her words...

She hates handwriting...but she was eager to do this activity! I need to be creative to get her to do handwriting...

She is a math wiz (IMO) for a 5 year old. I hardly have to teach her, just to have fun with it. We are working with money for adding fun lately.

Something I won!!

I got these in the mail the other day! We got Kyla Jane, Claire and Sprinkles! I won them over at Momviews. Anne shipped them super fast and Genesis loves them!!

Genesis named this little one OWLY!
