I won two giveaways and combined them!

A few months ago I won this apron from Daughters of Eve. I liked it but...
Now I LOVE it.
I added these cherries from the Sublime Stitch book that I won a few months back from Wren and Stitchy .

The Party

What a perfect day!

We went to the stables and for $35 for 1 hour...

5 girls got to ride Frank.

Then cupcakes and gifts at the park right there,
we got this chocolate muffin recipe from the Holly Hobbie website here. So yummy!

And then played at the park

Um yeah a bit too much spinning on the tire swing one got sick and another almost did.

I made 5 of these from here. And stuffed them with goodies!

One down one to go

I just finished this insert for my Mom yesterday.
She lives in Ipswich, ma. and we are going for a visit in a few weeks.
She and I will go get some matching fabric to make a pillow.
I hope the colors go in the room she wants this in.
Are colors the most challenging whn you are making a gift for someone?
That and sizes for clothing are for me...

I think my photos look a little better in these...

This is supposed to be a chain stitch but not sure if I am doing it right. It is hard to teach yourself without someone looking over your shoulder to tell you if you are doing it right....

I like these birdies!!

I got this pattern from Badbirds, here.
This is my next project for a premie baby boy that my friend had on Jan. 1st. He isn't even home yet so I have time to get this ready.

Okay this is going to be a quilt...did I just say that?

Don't panic! I think I can, I think I can!

(self talk)

This will be my first real quilt.

WIP and Kid craftiness

Kid craftiness

Melted crayons...

American Girl fake cookies...

Molly is making cookies for her friend Elizabeth...

Elizabeth has a dog named Penny.

They must have Big and Little real cookies!

And I needed to start a new project. This one will be for my Mom!

Last night I did the branch in chain stitch! I taught myself the new stitch, and the Birds are a periwinkle Blue done in stem stitch.

Another pillow

This was requested by a sweet boy who wants to be a preacher when he grows up. He admired the horse pillow I made Genesis and this is what I came up with.
My corners (the ones around the embroidering) are a bit frayed. I clipped them a bit. I should have looked up how to do this somewhere. I had no pattern. My husband was on the computer last night.

I did a soft denim backing.

I tried the chain stitch and failed to get it right. I know that these stitches aren't perfect, but I kept remining myself, no one will even know. How many projects could you ffinish if you would accept that fact?

I had this finished before Christmas but here are the pictures!

Last but not least...

Hansel and Gretal and yeah I need help with taking an upclose picture...

This is my last newest embroidering attempt. I got this pattern over here.

More new embroidery!

Here is another freebie pattern from the FLOSS BOX.
My picture is horrible, this really came out cute.

New emboidery

I got this pattern from The floss box.
Okay I think the Bird was supposed to be blue but I thought this would match my Mom's decor better. Her living room is antique gold.

My first stiching project ever!

Me and Genesis are starting these. She got bored with hers but mine is just about finished. She just needs hand and legs.
